A SMARTER WAY TO CUT

Your cutting plan

Scaled to fit

Every piece, accounted for.

A clear view of what goes where.

A good cut starts with a double-check. Verify dimensions and grain before cutting. Layouts use straight, full-length cuts through each remaining section.

A little precision goes a long way.

Saw kerf
The material your blade removes with every cut. Check your blade’s actual cutting width.
Edge trim
A margin removed from all four sides before the layout begins. Trim cuts are separate from the numbered cut sequence.
Grain & rotation
Length runs horizontally on the drawing. Lock a part’s grain to prevent rotation. Material names match without case sensitivity.
Optimization
We compare 80 straight-cut packing strategies. This is a practical heuristic, not a guarantee of the mathematical minimum. Offcuts, kerf, and trim are included in unused area.
Inches & fractions
Enter decimals or fractions such as 3/4 and 24 1/2. Switching units converts your dimensions.
